DeepSeek launches V4-Pro and Harness, raises API prices over 4x

DeepSeek has announced three major updates in a single day:
- Model Release: DeepSeek-V4-Pro is officially launched, claiming to outperform Opus-4.8 and approach Fable 5.
- Agent Architecture: Introduced DeepSeek Harness, which modularizes plan mode, sub-agents, permission approvals, and MCP into replaceable plugins, including the agent's main loop itself.
- API Pricing: Starting August 17, the API will shift to peak/off-peak pricing. The input price for cache hits will surge by 12x, and the output price will increase by 4.5x.
