Databricks announced it has crossed $7 billion in revenue run-rate, growing over 80% year-over-year, and raised $5 billion in its latest funding round, achieving a $190 billion valuation.
CEO Ali Ghodsi stated that AGI has effectively already arrived from the perspective of enterprise data applications. The new capital will be invested heavily in three core areas: Lakebase (a serverless Postgres database built for AI agents), Genie (AI coworkers that understand business data), and Unity AI Gateway (a multi-AI governance solution to control costs).
