Nature Dispute: 2023 Study on Science Slowdown Challenged, Authors Respond to Data Artifact Claims

A 2023 study claimed science progress is slowing and disruption declining, but a new Nature paper attributes this to data artifacts. The original authors respond that using the critics' data and methods still shows significant declines (P<0.01), and point out severe quality issues in the critics' data, including 2.8M editorials and obituaries.
