Proposing 'Balance Sheets' and Per-Turn Transactions for AI Agents
curious_vii · x · 2026-08-13
The author suggests that to solve the challenges of value measurement and capital allocation in AI agents, every single interaction (turn) should have an associated transaction record.
From a UX perspective, each thread should feature a "balance sheet" and "cash flow statement." This would allow users to instantly see expended costs and accumulated assets, enabling them to compare quantitative expenditures against the qualitative outcomes and insights generated by the agent.
