DeepSeek Open-Sources Agent Framework 'Harness' Based on 'Everything is a Plugin'
pmttyji · reddit · 2026-08-13
DeepSeek announced that its agent framework, DeepSeek Harness v0.1, is now available in Developer Preview and open-sourced under the MIT license.
Built on the Cordis meta-framework, its core philosophy is "Everything is a plugin." This means models, tools, skills, sessions, sandboxes, filesystems, loops, orchestration, and UI are all implemented as pluggable modules. Developers can freely mix, match, replace, and extend these components to build highly customized agents tailored to their specific needs.
