tomwarren · x · 2026-08-13
Microsoft is combining its consumer and commercial Copilot apps into a unified "Microsoft Copilot" interface, finally eliminating the annoying double icons in the taskbar. The updated app integrates chat, image creation, and Microsoft 365 productivity features.
This merge serves as a technical milestone for Microsoft's planned "super app" launching later this year. The worldwide rollout for mobile and web begins in mid-August, followed by Windows and Mac apps in mid-September.
