Google Tests AI Studio Agent Management UI Tied to GCP Projects
testingcatalog · x · 2026-08-13
Google is building a dedicated agents section into AI Studio, providing a graphical management surface for the managed agents launched at I/O.
The interface features a workbench tab that scopes agent lists to specific Google Cloud projects and billing via a project switcher. Users can create agents, manage dedicated file directories directly in the browser, and configure names, descriptions, and custom prompts via a GUI. The underlying runtime is currently locked to the Antigravity harness running Gemini 3.6 Flash, with support for more frameworks expected in the future.
