New research from ThreatDown reveals a massive blind spot in enterprise AI usage: 74% of organizations have more AI tools running than expected, with 30% discovering 16 or more unaccounted tools.
Data shows that while expected workforce AI usage sits around 33%, the observed median is 58%. The report notes that Shadow AI is becoming a critical visibility problem before it even triggers incident-response issues.
