Application PictureFramer released version 1.4, simplifying the previously tedious workflow of switching between the camera, photo library, and editor into a single step by integrating iOS's Vision and Core Image technologies.
Users can take photos directly within the app, and the system automatically detects the frame's edges and corrects the perspective. The raw capture is processed only in memory, leaving no unedited junk photos in the library. The author emphasizes that the core of this feature required minimal code changes, fully reusing the existing UI-agnostic image processing pipeline.
