Economist Paul Novosad argues that while theoretically, one could think deeply and let AI clean up the text, 99.9% of people claiming to do this haven't actually thought things through. He adds that people are deceiving themselves, trying to emulate Gary Becker's legendary ability to grasp the core of a seminar in two minutes, which is an unrealistic standard.
