AI Browser Aside Accused of Faking Speedometer Benchmark Results
uwukko · x · 2026-08-13
Developer @uwukko re-ran the Speedometer 3.1 benchmark across major browsers in a proper environment according to official guidelines, but failed to reproduce the results claimed by the AI browser Aside.
Aside previously announced a score of 49.9, beating Chrome (46.7) and Arc (33.2). However, the tester suspects Aside either faked its benchmark results or deliberately used "dirty" environments for competing browsers to artificially lower their scores.
