Test-Time Training Excels on ARC-AGI, Potentially Ushering a New AI Paradigm
fchollet · x · 2026-08-13
François Chollet reshared a discussion regarding Test-Time Training (TTT). Popularized during the ARC Prize 2024 competition, TTT has shown strong performance, with ARC 1-2 remaining one of the few datasets where it significantly outperforms traditional methods.
A member of the MindsAI team noted that TTT achieves efficient generalization even when the model is never trained on the actual answers. Chollet suggests that gradient updates at test time could be the doorway to the next level of AI, enabling smaller, more capable models with actual memory, and holds great potential for broader mainstream adoption.
