Sourcegraph's CEO shared details on optimizing the dictation feature for the AI coding assistant Amp. If users encounter issues with voice dictation, they can access a diagnostics panel via a shortcut and upload a report with the specific ID for the dev team to troubleshoot.
To ensure user privacy, the last 3 dictation recordings are stored locally on-device only, allowing users to decide whether to upload them for debugging purposes.
