Sakana Chat Major Update: Free Vibe Coding for Web Apps and Data Analysis
SakanaAILabs · x · 2026-08-13
Sakana AI announced a major update to Sakana Chat, its free and login-free chat product. The platform now features the Fugu model alongside Namazu, their latest Japanese LLM, and introduces a highly anticipated code execution capability.
Users can simply describe what they want in natural language, and the AI will write and execute code in the browser to build web apps, tools, or games in seconds. Sakana highlighted its utility for both education and enterprise: parents can help kids build math or kanji games, while office workers can drop an Excel file to have the AI autonomously run Python for data analysis, charting, and report formatting.
