Stop Writing Design Docs: Use AI Coding Agents to Build Visual Prototypes
arpit_bhayani · x · 2026-08-13
The author suggests that if you have a product idea, instead of starting with a lengthy design document, you should directly use an AI coding agent to quickly generate a visual prototype.
Text-only requirement docs often lead to misalignment as everyone imagines things differently in their heads. A hosted prototype with mock data, however, allows everyone to see the actual product and provide practical feedback. Although this prototype is throwaway work, it acts as a living spec that keeps the team literally on the same page during iterations.
