At AIDAY, Baidu launched its '1+10+N' AI for Science strategy, featuring the 'Famou' self-evolving agent. Drawing on biological evolution principles, the system automatically searches and verifies optimal solutions within complex variable spaces, shifting the paradigm from traditional model training to continuous solution evolution.

Key Implementations & Results:

Forestry & Agriculture: Collaborating with Nanjing Forestry University, it increased the early detection rate of pine wilt disease from 89.1% to 98.0% while reducing the false positive rate to 5.1%.
Math & Industry: Integrated with the Lean theorem prover to boost proof capabilities; optimized scheduling at Qingdao Port, breaking human benchmarks with a 10.21% improvement in core metrics.
Healthcare & Traffic: Applied to fMRI feature mining for depression diagnosis and traffic signal control, significantly improving transit efficiency.

Over 3,000 enterprises are currently trialing the Famou system. Baidu has also initiated an AI4S Scientist Program to collaborate with 100 scholars to expand the technology into more frontier research fields.
