Sakana AI Launches 'Fugu' Multi-Model System, Updates Free Chat Service

Sakana AI has updated its free chat AI service, Sakana Chat, introducing the new "Sakana Fugu." Fugu is designed to dynamically combine multiple AI models to process tasks, claiming to achieve performance on par with frontier models.
Alongside Fugu, the existing Sakana Namazu model was upgraded, now built upon Moonshot AI's open-source Kimi K2.6 to enhance Japanese processing and autonomous task capabilities. The update also brings a Python sandbox execution feature for calculations and data processing, alongside support for Word, Excel, and PDF file previews.
