Sakana AI announced a major update to Sakana Chat, introducing new models and enhanced execution capabilities:
- New Fugu Model: Described as an orchestrator model with frontier-level performance, excelling at complex instructions and multi-step tasks.
- Namazu Upgrade: Updated to a new generation, improving both Japanese response quality and agent execution capabilities, making it ideal for daily repetitive tasks.
- Code Execution & Preview: The model can now run Python in a sandbox to perform calculations, data processing, and file generation. Generated HTML, documents, or slides can be previewed and downloaded directly within the UI.
- File Attachments: All models now support image and document uploads (PDF, Office, etc.). Combined with code execution, it can seamlessly analyze materials and reformat them (e.g., turning a PDF into a slide deck).
