AGI Progress Outpaces Forecasts: 19 Out of 24 2026 Predictions Already True

Lindy founder @Altimor emphasizes that people still underestimate the pace of AI progress. He reveals that 19 out of 24 predictions made for 2026 in the "AI 2027" list have already come true by August. Highlighting that we are currently running ahead of the most optimistic predictions from 18 months ago, he recalls his 2023 forecast of a million-token context window within a year and a half—which was met with skepticism but is now a reality.
