Gemini Robotics Tested: Humanoid Robot Shows Human-like Motor Generalization
keerthanpg · x · 2026-08-13
Researchers tested the Gemini Robotics 2 model on the Apollo humanoid robot. During whole-body generalization tests in 3D space, the robot demonstrated surprisingly human-like characteristics.
Its recovery, retry, and reactive behaviors look very human-like, akin to having a proto-human intelligence in a metal body. These behaviors were achieved when facing unseen tasks with completely unscripted motions.
