The Blind Spot of LLMs: Why World Models Are the Long Game for AGI
TansuYegen · x · 2026-08-13
Language models have surprised us with their inference capabilities, largely because human language is richer than we expected. However, huge missing pieces remain: spatial dynamics, spatial awareness, and physical context (how things work mechanically).
These physical mechanics are hard to describe in words and rarely appear in text corpuses. This is why world models are the long game: some essential knowledge must be learned through simulated 'experience' rather than mere 'description'.
