Anthropic Unveils Claude in Chrome with Cross-Device Session Syncing
claudeai · x · 2026-08-13
Anthropic has announced a major update to its Chrome browser extension, Claude in Chrome. Claude sessions in the browser's side panel now seamlessly carry over to the desktop, web, and mobile apps.
Sessions are tied to the user's account rather than a single device, allowing users to start a task in a browser tab and pick it up later on another device. Additionally, user skills and connectors work directly within the browser. The feature is available today for Max and Team plans, rolling out to Pro users in the coming weeks.
