Interactive Exercises for Learning Pipeline Parallelism Schedules
ezyang · x · 2026-08-13
Developer ezyang, in collaboration with Fable, released an interactive exercise tool for learning Pipeline Parallel (PP) schedules. Unlike other simulators, this tool requires users to build the schedule block-by-block under specific constraints (supporting double-click to greedily finish a microbatch).
The author noted that while the instructional text is a bit rough, the core interaction mechanics have been workshopped, and they welcome feedback and notes for improvement.
