Google Search to Lower Follower Thresholds for Creator Profiles, Expand Globally

Google announced that it is lowering the follower thresholds for its Search profiles feature, allowing more creators and publishers to set up their profiles. The company also plans to expand the feature to more countries soon.
The feature provides creators with a dedicated home on Search to showcase their articles, videos, and social posts. Currently available in the US, it requires creators to meet a minimum subscriber or follower count on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, X, or TikTok (e.g., 35k or 100k) to be eligible.
