According to Artificial Analysis, xAI's Grok 4.6 scores 61 on the Intelligence Index, tying with GPT-5.6 Sol and just behind Claude Opus 5 and Claude Fable 5, bringing xAI back to the intelligence frontier.
The new model gains 5 points over Grok 4.5 released just over a month ago. Beyond raw intelligence, Grok 4.6 demonstrates standout agentic performance while maintaining lower operational costs.
