Cursor Accused of Turning into Spyware: Secretly Scanning Codebases with Grok

A tech commentator pointed out that following Elon's involvement in the AI coding tool Cursor, the software underwent three potentially privacy-invasive changes without explicit consent.
The core issue is that regardless of the AI model chosen by the user, Cursor now spawns a 'Cursor Grok Fast' explore agent by default to review the code base first. This means Grok reads and transmits the user's entire codebase to relevant servers. Users have to manually override this setting deep in the configuration.
