Cohere Open-Sources North Micro Vision Model Under Apache 2.0

Cohere has announced that its North Micro Vision model is now free to deploy under the Apache 2.0 license.
According to the official release, the lightweight model punches above its weight. It outperforms peers like Gemma 4 E2B and Ministral 3 3B across a broad range of visual understanding benchmarks, delivering particularly strong results in document understanding and visual Q&A tasks.
