zephyr_z9 · x · 2026-08-12
Current market rates for GB300 compute reveal mid-term deals (1-3 years) at around $4.5/hr, while short-term contracts surge to $9/hr.
Nebius ($NBIS) recently disclosed actual AI capacity sales: mid-term deals are priced at $20–25M per MW, and short-duration deals (up to 6 months) reach $40–50M per MW. Its first capacity auction cleared 15% above its historical peak price for Blackwell. Despite overwhelming demand, the company is deliberately retaining some capacity for immediate customer needs rather than selling out through 2027.
