An analysis of 302 public procurement projects reveals the real humanoid robot market: total winning bids of 1.838 billion yuan from early 2025 to June 2026, a huge gap from the billion-dollar market cap. Schools account for 68% of projects but SOEs spend 74% of money. Uses are mainly research/education, but data collection and reception are emerging. Unitree's G1 is most popular; Galaxy General won the largest single contract at 236 million yuan. Sichuan and Shandong lead in spending. The market is early-stage and investment-driven.
