Open Source ImageForge MCP: Enables Coding Agents to Generate and Edit Images
Ok_Surprise_3093 · reddit · 2026-08-12
A developer released ImageForge, a lightweight TypeScript MCP server that allows coding agents to generate and edit images via the OpenAI Images API.
The project exposes two tools, generateimage and editimage, supporting local files and URL inputs while returning native MCP image content blocks. It also includes remote URL validation to prevent SSRF attacks and supports OpenAI-compatible gateways.
