Similar to previous technological revolutions, the pace of economic transformation brought by AI has not kept up with its rapid capability advancements. CEOs are now softening their stances, leaning towards the narrative that AI "augments" rather than replaces workers. However, the nature of work is indeed shifting: employers increasingly value AI skills in candidates, and in the long run, AI could push more jobs towards freelance and contract-based models.
