Deezer Launches In-App Remix Feature Using Stem Separation for Compliant Audio Modification

Music streaming service Deezer has launched a new in-app remix feature in France, allowing users to modify tracks from participating artists. Emphasizing 'full rights compliance,' the feature does not generate new AI audio. Instead, it uses Deezer's open-source Spleeter machine learning tool to split songs into independent stems (drums, bass, vocals) and applies modifications like tempo or pitch adjustment at the stem level. This follows similar AI remix efforts from Spotify.
