Predicting an SF AI Startup Boom as Big Lab Employees Break Out

The author predicts incredible shifts in the San Francisco AI ecosystem over the next few years. Many employees from major AI labs will inevitably leave their comfortable positions to start their own companies, absorbing tremendous amounts of venture capital and driving an abundance of innovation.

On the downside, the author notes that much of this innovation might cluster in highly overlapping and homogenous areas. Additionally, Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) is highlighted as a key area to watch.
