Andrew Beam tested a preview of NVIDIA's Nemotron 3.5 Lightning at Lila, finding it easy to train and faster at mastering tasks in challenging RL environments for materials science. NVIDIA states Lightning is built to specialize, and post-training with NeMo improves accuracy for specialized work in cybersecurity, coding, legal, and energy tasks.
