Open-Source MiniMax H3 Optimization Suite Cuts VRAM Usage by 25%
Fantastic-Equal-1696 · reddit · 2026-08-12
A developer has released an open-source, modular optimization suite for the native MiniMax H3 audio/video model in ComfyUI. The suite provides independently switchable optimizations, including an NVFP4 fused MLP, a lower-memory Sage2 implementation, and a training-free CAB low-step sampler.
Tested on an RTX 5070 Ti, enabling the fused MLP and low-memory mode reduced peak VRAM allocation from 5122 MiB to 3844 MiB (a 25% decrease). Furthermore, its long-sequence fallback allows 15-second generations with video and audio VAE decodes to run on a 16GB GPU, preventing OOM errors.
