Embodied AI startup 'Westlake Robot' recently completed its Series A funding round, raising a total of 500 million yuan across 4 rounds within just 6 months. Investors include prominent institutions like Safv and Xiaomiao Langcheng.
The funds will be primarily invested in R&D for whole-body unified foundation models for humanoid robots and talent cultivation. Founded by Westlake University Professor Wang Donglin, the company focuses on a full-stack approach: 'general brain + cerebellum + self-developed body'.
The company has launched its self-developed humanoid robot 'Westlake o1', secured nearly 100 million yuan in orders, and established partnerships for real-world training and data collection with local governments and enterprises.
