The developer announced that their FrankenOCR project is now fully functional in the browser. By integrating Baidu's new OCR model and optimizing it for Apple Silicon, the tool can perfectly reconstruct highly complex and challenging document pages.
Users can now process images and PDFs with highly accurate OCR directly on the web, with all operations running entirely client-side without needing to upload data to a server.
