Researcher Uses ChatGPT to Learn Stochastic Calculus

Economist Paul Novosad highlighted a compelling use case of LLMs for advanced learning: a scholar is using ChatGPT to teach himself elementary stochastic calculus from scratch, applying it to real-options investment problems under Brownian motion.
Novosad noted that while ChatGPT significantly lowers the barrier to entry, the user's pre-existing strong math skills remain crucial and hard to replicate in the LLM era.
