Palantir CEO: Off-the-Shelf LLMs Won't Work, Enterprises Need an Ontology Layer

Palantir CEO Alex Karp argues that people think we're in an AI bubble because many try to buy off-the-shelf LLMs to solve business problems, only to find they don't work. He points out that LLMs lack the precision required for regulated tasks like underwriting.
He emphasizes that to generate real value, enterprises can't just plug models into their stacks. Instead, they need to build an "Ontology"—a software layer to orchestrate and manage LLMs in a language the enterprise understands.
