Code the Skeleton, Then Render: A New Workflow for Controlled Video Generation
mattshumer_ · x · 2026-08-12
Matt Shumer shared a simple and interesting approach to controlled long-form video generation:
- Create the Skeleton: Use code to build the "skeleton" of the video, baking in all actions and objects at low fidelity.
- Make it Real: Pass the resulting "draft" through a video model to render it into a realistic final video.
He suggests this might be a highly practical workaround while waiting for the "bitter lesson" to fully solve long-form video generation.
