OpenAI has announced that the ChatGPT desktop app is now available in preview for Linux, allowing users to access ChatGPT and Codex directly in their workflow.
The app achieves feature parity with other platforms, with the exception of native Computer Use, which is coming soon. Currently, agents can still drive the in-app browser and Chrome. The team noted that they rushed to get this out, so there might be some rough edges, and they are encouraging user feedback.
