OpenAI is experiencing a notable wave of executive and researcher departures. Brad Lightcap, who has been with the company for eight years and served as COO, is leaving to start a new venture, with his responsibilities largely transferred to Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser.

Furthermore, OpenAI's head of ethics has stepped down after less than a year in the role, with no reported replacement. This follows the July exits of safety systems head Johannes Heidecke and chief futurist Joshua Achiam.
