Benchmarking Minimax-h3-Turbo LoRA: Generates 480p Video in 56s with 4 Steps
LegacyV1 · reddit · 2026-08-12
A developer benchmarked the newly released Minimax-h3-Turbo LoRA on an RTX 6000, comparing its speed and quality against the Spectrum and base models.
- Significant Speedup: For 480p, 15-second videos, the 4-step Turbo LoRA generated output in just 56 seconds, and 1m 47s for 8 steps. In contrast, the 20-step Spectrum and base models took 2m 33s and 3m 11s, respectively.
- Quality Trade-offs: While the Turbo LoRA performs better at 768p, it introduces weirdly high contrast and botches text rendering. The base model still offers the best overall quality.
- Workflow Suggestion: The 4-step Turbo LoRA is highly recommended for quickly locking in motion and composition before committing to a full 20-step render, saving significant iteration time.
