Google's AMIE Medical AI Outperforms Text in Video Consultations

A new medical AI study indicates that using video modality yields higher diagnostic accuracy than pure text in patient telehealth consultations.
The randomized trial involved 100 clinical cases and 30 primary care physicians (PCPs) interacting with patient actors. It compared three arms: AI with video, PCPs with video, and text-only consultations.
