Solo Dev Outperforms 10-Person Team Using AI Coding Agents

Developer teodorio shared the staggering efficiency of building products with AI. He developed an app with better functionality, UX, and a recommendation engine than Amazon's Goodreads. He noted that without AI (using Opus last year, and Sol and Fable this year), this project would have required a full-time team of 5-10 people.
In a quoted tweet, another developer detailed a fully automated AI coding workflow:
- Strategy: Setting up a loop with simple success criteria, having the AI run non-stop through an open-source library, rewriting it one function at a time.
- Execution: This "set it and forget it" loop has been running continuously for a week and is expected to take another 1-2 weeks to finish.
- Value: Despite being embarrassingly easy to set up, it delivers a 5-20x speed increase to a widely used open-source utility.
