Databricks Acquires ElectricSQL to Boost AI Agent Data Sync

Databricks announced the acquisition of the ElectricSQL team, the creators of PGlite. ElectricSQL built an amazing WebAssembly implementation of Postgres that runs in the browser and syncs asynchronously with Postgres instances.
Databricks CEO noted that this blazing-fast Postgres capability is exactly what high-performance AI agents need today, and it will directly supercharge their Lakebase Postgres offering.
