The author tested the GGUF quantized version of Meta's newly open-sourced 30B model, Muse Glimmer, on an RTX 5090 using llama.cpp. The model is specifically designed for agentic use cases, focusing on multi-turn interactions and heavy tool calling.

On a rigorous benchmark involving about 20 tools and extensive structured data, Muse Glimmer performed on par with other first-generation open models like Laguna S 2.1 and Inkling. However, GLM 5.2 and Gemini 3.6 Flash achieved near-perfect scores on the same test.
