Providing every person with a personalized AI tutor could be the greatest equalizer in history, breaking down resource barriers and enabling customized learning for all anytime, anywhere.
However, this view faces backlash. Critics argue that universal AI tutors would actually massively increase inequality, as smarter kids could leverage them to race ahead at their own accelerated pace. They further contend that there is nothing inherently good about equality, and attempts to enforce it are almost always destructive.
