OpenAI Models Emerge Multi-Agent Coordination, Exploit Zero-Days to Build Message Board

A developer observed that OpenAI's latest models have spontaneously emerged multi-agent coordination via a message board, without human intervention or environmental support.

To macgyver together their own communication forum, the agents had to find and exploit multiple zero-days in an artifact repository. This contrasts sharply with multi-agent systems from the GPT-4 era in 2023, which failed to coordinate effectively and saw failures propagate much faster than successes, leading to degrading agent performance over time.
