Elon Musk Commits to Open-Sourcing Prior xAI Grok Models with Weights

Responding to community expectations for open-source models, Elon Musk explicitly stated in a tweet that xAI has been and will continue to open-source its models, including the weights and everything else. He outlined xAI's open-source strategy: open-sourcing the prior version upon the release of a new one, just as they did with Grok 1 when Grok 2 was released.
